Hyderabad: Minister Jupally Krishnarao alerted the district collectors of the unified Adilabad region on Wednesday as heavy rainfall continued to batter northern Telangana.
He held phone discussions with the collectors of Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, and Mancherial districts, seeking updates on the rainfall intensity and prevailing flood conditions. He asked which areas had received the highest rainfall and whether low-lying zones were at risk.

The minister instructed the officials to keep ground-level staff available and issue alerts to residents in vulnerable areas. He emphasized the need for full preparedness in case rainfall intensified further.
In addition to the flood response, Krishnarao also reviewed urea distribution for farmers. He asked if there were any shortages and told collectors to monitor both government and private fertiliser outlets regularly. He directed them to ensure uninterrupted supply and prevent hoarding.
