Hyderabad: Medical students farewell Kamareddy was attended by Advisor to Telangana Government Mohammed Ali Shabbir Ali, who congratulated MBBS graduates and urged them to prioritise service in their careers. The event marked the “Kalotsav’ 26 College Day” at Government Medical College, Kamareddy.

The programme took place in Kamareddy town on Wednesday. Organisers felicitated graduating students and presented them with mementoes. The event recognised their academic achievement and transition into the medical profession.

Addressing the gathering, Shabbir Ali said the occasion marked a key milestone in the students’ lives. He noted that their success brought pride to their families, teachers and the district.

He said society regards doctors as visible gods, as patients in distress look to them for hope. Therefore, he stressed that the graduates were entering a noble profession dedicated to service. He advised them to prioritise service and remain accessible to the poor.

“Service rendered with a smile and a few reassuring words can save many lives,” he said. He urged students to combine professional excellence with compassion in their practice.

Shabbir Ali said students trained in Kamareddy have the potential to achieve global standards. He encouraged them to bring recognition to the district at national and international levels.

Referring to Dr Nageswara Rao, he said the doctor earned global recognition despite practising locally. He urged students to draw inspiration from such examples and strive for similar success.

He emphasised the need for continuous learning in medical science. According to him, doctors must regularly update their knowledge to keep pace with advancements in the field.

He also advised students to remember the sacrifices of their parents and the guidance of their teachers. He said they should work to earn a good name for them.

Appreciating the teaching faculty, Shabbir Ali said their efforts enabled students to reach this stage. He added that the Congress government gives priority to education and continues to improve infrastructure, facilities and welfare schemes for medical students.

Kamareddy Government Medical College Principal Valya Rathod, Municipal Chairman Uma Srinivas, Library Chairman Chandrakant Reddy, councillors and Congress leaders attended the programme.
