CMC Commissioner inspects Medchal civic infrastructure

Hyderabad: Commissioner of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation G. Srijana carried out a Medchal inspection to review civic infrastructure and environmental conditions, issuing directions for immediate corrective measures.

She conducted a field visit along with the Deputy Commissioner of Medchal and circle officials. During the Medchal inspection, she assessed lakes, drainage systems, roads, and sanitation works.

She directed officials to remove water hyacinth from lakes by deploying adequate manpower and machinery. In addition, she asked them to ensure regular monitoring to prevent regrowth.

She instructed teams to improve the functioning of the underground drainage system through desilting and clearing blockages. Meanwhile, she asked officials to address overflow and leakage complaints on priority.

Civic measures outlined during Medchal inspection

Further, she directed strict measures to prevent discharge of sewage and solid waste into lakes. She also emphasised improving overall cleanliness of water bodies.

She ordered repair of potholes and patchwork on the stretch from Medchal Highway to Ayodhya X Roads. At the same time, she asked officials to carry out sanitation drives and monitor stormwater flow to avoid water stagnation.

She directed clearance of litter along the National Highway within Medchal Circle. In addition, she asked officials to identify open spaces for developing sports complexes and theme parks to improve recreational facilities.

During the visit, she interacted with local residents and gathered feedback. She instructed officials to ensure coordinated action and timely resolution of civic issues.
