MBBS student killed, father injured in Hayathnagar road accident

Hyderabad: A final-year MBBS student died in a road accident in Hayathnagar of Rangareddy district on Monday morning. A speeding car hit her and her father while they crossed the road, leaving him seriously injured.

Police identified the deceased as Yamsani Ishwarya, a final-year MBBS student at the Government Medical College in Mahabubnagar. The road accident occurred near the RTC Colony area during the morning hours.

Police said Ishwarya was crossing the road with her father, Pandu, when a speeding car rammed into them. The impact caused severe injuries, and both fell onto the road.

After receiving information, police rushed to the spot and moved them to a nearby private hospital. Doctors confirmed Aishwarya’s death on arrival. Due to his critical condition, doctors shifted her father to another hospital for advanced treatment.

Police sent the body to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination. They registered a case in connection with the road accident and began an investigation.
