Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Lakshmi on Tuesday conducted a review meeting with officials and residents of the Banjara Hills division to assess ongoing civic works and inaugurate a new multipurpose function hall, further advancing Banjara Hills development in the area.
The meeting, held at the Mayor’s camp office, focused on recent development activities in the division, specifically emphasizing Banjara Hills development. Officials provided updates on key infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, street lighting, sanitation, and parks.
Multipurpose function hall inaugurated to support community events
Mayor Vijaya Lakshmi said the newly inaugurated multipurpose function hall will provide local residents a venue to host social and cultural events. She noted that the facility will also boost local development by meeting long-standing community needs and contribute to Banjara Hills development in coming years.
During the meeting, the Mayor engaged with residents and took note of their concerns. She directed GHMC officials to take swift and effective action to resolve public grievances. Consequently, Banjara Hills development will remain a priority for civic authorities.
She further instructed officials to maintain close supervision of all ongoing works in the division until completion. Departments present included Water Works, Electricity, and GHMC engineering and sanitation wings.
The review meeting was attended by the GHMC Deputy Commissioner, Superintending Engineer, local officials, basti representatives, and community leaders.
