MANCHERIAL: The Mancherial district education department has come under fire for its negligence during the SSC exams, causing major confusion at the Boys’ High School exam center. Instead of distributing the first paper, the education department mistakenly sent the second paper to the exam center.
The exam center staff unknowingly distributed the incorrect paper to the students. It was only after an hour into the exam that the officials realized the mistake. In a hurried attempt to rectify the situation, the staff replaced the incorrect papers with the correct first paper and restarted the exam for the 240 students present at the center.
Following the incident, Mancherial Collector Kumar Deepak visited the paper storage facility (PS) to inspect the situation. Expressing his displeasure, he reprimanded the DEO (District Education Officer) and the exam staff for their carelessness.
The Collector ordered an immediate investigation into the mishandling of exam papers, stating that such negligence could severely impact the students’ future. The district administration is now conducting a thorough inquiry into the incident to determine the causes behind the paper mix-up and hold the responsible officials accountable.
