Hyderabad: A man was killed and three others injured after a container lorry rammed into a family crossing the road near Inamguda in Abdullapurmet on the city outskirts on Sunday evening.
The deceased was identified as Srinivas, 48. His wife Lakshmi, 45, and their two children, Rajeshwari, 19, and Rambabu, 17, suffered injuries in the incident. The family was attempting to cross the road when the speeding vehicle struck them.
Srinivas died on the spot due to multiple injuries. The other family members sustained non-fatal injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital by the police.
The body of Srinivas was moved to a mortuary for post-mortem. Local police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
