Hyderabad: A land dispute turned deadly in Khanapur village under Narayankhed mandal of Sangareddy district on Sunday when a man attacked relatives with an axe, leaving one dead and another seriously injured.
According to police, Hanumanthlu suddenly attacked his brother Ramesh and Ramesh’s friend Jaipal with an axe while they were visiting a cattle shelter in their farmland.
The victims sustained severe injuries, and Jaipal died on the spot.
Police said a longstanding enmity and land-related feud existed between Hanumanthlu and his brother.
Ramesh, who was critically injured, was first shifted to Narayankhed hospital and later moved to Hyderabad for advanced treatment.
A case has been registered, and investigation is underway.
