Hyderabad: A 28-year-old man died in Rein Bazaar on Wednesday night after two attackers stabbed him during a targeted assault linked to previous enmity.
The victim, Junaid Bin Mohammad Baharmoos of Yakutpura, rode his motorcycle through the locality when the two men stopped him and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons. He suffered deep injuries. His relatives moved him to a private hospital in Malakpet, but he died during treatment.
Police increase security in Rein Bazaar after the stabbing
Rein Bazaar police reached the scene soon after the attack and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary. Officers tightened security in the locality and at the mortuary to prevent tension. Patrol units remained active through the night.
Investigators formed special teams to trace the suspects. Officials said these teams began collecting footage and statements to speed up the search. They added that extra deployment would continue in nearby pockets until arrests are made.
