KTR announces statewide padayatra 2027, rules out alliances

Hyderabad: BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao announced a KTR statewide padayatra 2027, stating he would tour across Telangana to reconnect with people and strengthen the party organisation.

Speaking to media in Mancherial district on Sunday, KTR said the KTR statewide padayatra 2027 would focus on public issues and grassroots engagement ahead of the next elections.

He also ruled out alliances, asserting that the party would contest elections independently. “Alliances have not worked for us. We will contest alone and return to power,” he said, rejecting any tie-up with the BJP.

KTR statewide padayatra 2027 to shape BRS electoral strategy

On delimitation, KTR said the proposed increase in Assembly and Parliamentary constituencies could create new political opportunities. However, he added that there would be no objection if proportional representation remained unchanged.

“If all states receive a uniform increase in seats without reducing existing share, there is no reason for concern,” he said.

Moreover, he stressed that winnability would guide ticket allocation decisions. He said the party would field candidates based on electoral strength and would not hesitate to take tough calls.

KTR added that leadership changes in the Godavari belt could improve the party’s prospects. He also admitted shortcomings during the BRS government’s tenure, including weak coordination with grassroots leaders such as cadre, sarpanches, MPTCs and mandal-level representatives.

He further acknowledged that despite a large migrant workforce from north Telangana, the government failed to frame a comprehensive Gulf policy.

KTR statewide padayatra 2027 amid criticism of Congress government

Launching an attack on the Congress government led by A. Revanth Reddy, KTR alleged that key welfare schemes were not being implemented effectively.

He claimed that Rythu Bandhu and farm loan waivers faced delays, causing distress among farmers. He also pointed to pending fee reimbursements affecting students.

Additionally, he said public confidence in the government was declining. Despite this, he expressed confidence that the BRS would stage a strong comeback in the next elections through the KTR statewide padayatra 2027.
