Hyderabad: BRS working president K Tarakarama Rao on Sunday came down heavily on the state government, accusing it of failing to ensure even minimum farm support, including fertiliser supply.
In a post on social media, KTR alleged that farmers were struggling without farm loan waivers or reliable input guarantees. He said growers were unable to even borrow for cultivation because of severe urea scarcity.
He questioned why the administration, despite farmers furnishing Aadhaar details, was unable to provide even a bag of fertiliser. He demanded the government explain the deficit of 1.94 lakh metric tonnes of urea reported across Telangana.
KTR also criticised the sharp rise in urea prices, stating that a bag priced at ₹266.50 had shot up to ₹325, affecting not just farmers but the entire state.

మీరు అడిగినట్టు ఆధార్ కార్డులు ఇచ్చినా, రైతుకి కనీసం బస్తా ఎరువు ఇవ్వలేని స్థితిలో ప్రభుత్వం ఎందుకుంది?

He alleged a fertiliser black marketing racket was operating openly and wanted a thorough investigation to expose those orchestrating the artificial scarcity.
