KTR pays tribute to Kaloji Narayan Rao on Guru Purnima

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday described poet and activist Kaloji Narayan Rao as a relentless force in Telangana’s political history and paid tribute to him on the occasion of Guru Purnima.

In a social media post, Rama Rao said, “On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, I bow in reverence to the guiding lights who illuminate the path of knowledge, wisdom, and inner awakening.” He identified Kaloji as one such figure, calling him “relentless in his efforts for Telangana.”

Rama Rao referred to Kaloji’s influence as foundational in shaping the region’s sociopolitical ethos and recalled state initiatives that honour his legacy. The government constructed the “Kaloji Kalakshetram” cultural centre in Warangal and named the state Health University after him.

The post came amid ongoing cultural and political references to Telangana icons as BRS seeks to reassert regional identity ahead of civic engagements.
