Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday sharply criticised the BJP-led Gujarat government following another bridge collapse in the state, drawing attention to repeated infrastructure failures under the so-called “double engine” model.
Reacting to the incident on social media platform X, KTR wrote: “Another stellar example of the double engine Gujarat model. After the Morbi bridge disaster that killed over 140 people, yet another collapse. In double engine states like Gujarat and Bihar, bridges continue to fall.”
He called for an independent inquiry by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) or a competent institution to investigate the latest failure.
KTR’s comments come amid growing concern over structural safety in BJP-ruled states, with the Morbi tragedy in 2022 still fresh in public memory.
Another day and another glorious example of the Double Engine Gujarath model
A Final Destination re-creation. One second you are on the bridge and the next in the river
After Morbi bridge collapse where 140 plus people died, this is another shocker.
