HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led NDA government over the recent hike in fuel prices and a sharp market crash, calling into question the Centre’s fulfilment of its promises.
Taking to Twitter, KTR remarked that while citizens continue to wait for the promised Acche Din, the NDA government had instead delivered a “single day hat-trick”. He highlighted that the government increased the price of LPG cylinders by ₹50 and imposed an additional ₹2 excise duty on fuel, even though international oil prices remain at historic lows.
Adding to the criticism, he pointed out that ₹19 lakh crore in market value was wiped out in a single day following a steep fall in the Sensex.
“Is this the remnant of the promised Acche Din or the beginning of ‘Make India Great Again’?” he questioned, taking a direct swipe at the BJP’s narrative.
