KTR condemns attack on CJI B.R. Gavai, calls it an assault on judicial dignity

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday condemned the attempted attack on CJI Gavai inside the Supreme Court, calling it a “shameful assault on judicial dignity.”

In a post on X, KTR said intolerance in the country had reached alarming levels, describing the incident as an outrageous sign of growing hostility. He wrote, “Strongly and unequivocally condemn the attempted attack on Chief Justice B.R. Gavai. This shameful assault on judicial dignity is not just an attack on an individual but on the institution itself.”

KTR added that no disagreement, even on matters of faith, justifies violence. He said such actions threaten the very foundation of democracy and urged people to uphold mutual respect and constitutional values.
