Hyderabad: BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao is set to appear before the ACB today for questioning in the Formula E case. Ahead of his appearance, KTR met former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at his residence in Nandinagar. He later visited Telangana Bhavan and spoke to the media.
KTR stated that truth stands on its own and declared he has no fear of being jailed again. He criticised the Congress government for what he called false promises and declarations. He said he is prepared to attend inquiry even if summoned a hundred times, adding that there is no reason to fear when no wrongdoing was committed. He described BRS as the shield protecting Telangana and challenged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to undergo a lie detector test.
KTR accused the government of harassing him and other BRS leaders by filing cases against them. He said neither he nor the party would back down under any circumstances and vowed to continue questioning the government on behalf of the people. He mentioned that former ministers KCR and Harish Rao were also questioned by the Kaleshwaram Commission, and he himself is being repeatedly summoned by the ACB. He added that arresting him would not be new, recalling his earlier imprisonment during the Telangana movement.
KTR also targeted the Congress government over local body elections. He alleged that the state government is rushing the election process even before completing the reservation procedures, calling it a conspiracy. He appealed to the people, particularly BC communities, to observe these developments and teach the government a lesson in the elections.
