KTR accuses Revanth of replacing Rythu Bandhu with ‘Rahul Bandhu’

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of replacing the Rythu Bandhu scheme with what he described as a “Rahul Bandhu” programme.

Speaking at a programme in Sircilla, KTR alleged that the Congress government had halted farmer support under Rythu Bandhu.

KTR targets Revanth over ‘Rahul Bandhu’ allegation

BRS leader said that during the tenure of former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Rythu Bandhu assistance used to reach farmers every December.

However, he claimed that the Congress government failed to release the amount even when the crop harvesting season had arrived.

KTR alleged that the government introduced a “Rahul Bandhu” scheme after stopping the Rythu Bandhu programme.

He claimed the Chief Minister was allocating ₹1,000 crore annually under this scheme to the Gandhi family to safeguard his political position.

The BRS leader also recalled that KCR had earlier advised voters to think carefully before casting their votes.

KTR criticised recent remarks by Revanth Reddy regarding loan waivers and Rythu Bandhu payments.

He questioned how a Chief Minister could say he believed the loan waiver and Rythu Bandhu benefits had been implemented.

KTR also raised civic concerns in Hyderabad, saying the mosquito menace had increased while garbage clearance remained poor.
