KTR accuses Revanth of diverting funds to benami firm

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of diverting thousands of crores of public funds to a benami company, demanding an immediate halt to the firm’s operations and a full-scale investigation.

Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, KTR alleged that KLSR, a company currently under insolvency, has long functioned as a front for the Chief Minister. He claimed to possess documentary evidence supporting this connection.

KTR said that links between Revanth Reddy and KLSR were widely known, and that enforcement agencies had already raided the company in 2018 when Revanth was the PCC president. Despite ongoing insolvency proceedings at the National Company Law Tribunal, he alleged that the Chief Minister enabled the firm to secure major government contracts after assuming office.

KTR demands cancellation of all KLSR-linked contracts

KTR pointed out that the Supreme Court had issued notices to the Telangana government questioning continued transactions involving KLSR. The court also sought clarity on alleged attempts to influence judicial processes linked to the company’s financial dealings.

He alleged that Revanth Reddy, fearing exposure, staged a political distraction during his Davos visit by announcing a Special Investigation Team a move KTR described as a “diversionary tactic.”

Demanding action, KTR urged the government to cancel all contracts awarded to KLSR without eligibility and to immediately blacklist the firm. He also called for a freeze on all company operations pending the outcome of a thorough investigation.

KTR further appealed to Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy to pressure the Centre for a neutral inquiry. “If BJP is not shielding Revanth Reddy, it must prove its sincerity by backing a probe,” he said.

The BRS leader alleged that the case involves large-scale corruption, criminal conspiracy, abuse of office, and suspected money laundering. He reiterated that the firm’s activities must cease until the investigation concludes.
