Hyderabad: Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and Minister Vivek Venkatswamy visited flood-hit areas in Krishna Nagar, Yusufguda division, after recent rains. GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, Hydra Commissioner Ranganath, AICC Secretary Vishnunath, and Congress leader Naveen Yadav joined them during the inspection.
The team found that narrow stormwater drains described as “bottle neck problems” caused the local flooding. Officials said the government would upgrade these nalas under the Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP) to prevent future floods.

The ministers also checked ongoing civic works. They told sanitation staff to keep the area clean and avoid any disruption to the public.
