Minister lays foundation for ₹20 crore development works in Kollapur

Hyderabad: Telangana Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for Kollapur development works worth ₹20 crore. These works are under the Kollapur Municipality limits in Nagar Kurnool district.

During a whirlwind visit to Kollapur town, the minister inaugurated several civic and religious infrastructure projects. These were part of the Kollapur development works. They included upgrades to the municipal building, Eidamma temple, Ramalayam, and Venkateshwara temple.

He also performed bhoomi puja for the Kollapur development works, including the construction of Dr B.R. Ambedkar Kalabhavan within the local MPDO office premises. Rao announced that RO plants were being installed across the town to address drinking water issues.

An allocation of ₹2 crore was sanctioned for infrastructure upgrades at the local intermediate college, he said. The minister also inspected the mini tank bund site during his tour, further showcasing the ongoing Kollapur development works.

Speaking to reporters, Rao asserted that the Congress government in Telangana had remained focused on development since assuming office. He added that efforts were underway to ensure that every poor household receives the benefits of state welfare schemes.

The event was attended by MPDO Venkata Rao, former councillors Narasimharao, Raheem Pasha, Barigela Ramudu Yadav, Naheem, Congress leaders Mekala Nagaraju. Former Single Window director Pasupula Narasimha was also present, among others.
