Youth vital to building ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, says Kishan Reddy at Rozgar Mela

Hyderabad: Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Friday said that India’s youth play a central role in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. He addressed the 17th Rozgar Mela at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan auditorium in Hyderabad, where he handed appointment letters to 80 new recruits in various central departments.

The minister highlighted that the Centre has issued over 1.1 million appointment letters through Rozgar Melas in the last two years. This, he said, reflects the government’s strong resolve to create jobs and boost employment across sectors.

“This is not just a job. It’s a chance to help shape India’s future,” Kishan Reddy told the new employees. He urged them to work with honesty and dedication, saying their efforts would directly contribute to the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat – 2047’.

He also stressed the government’s mission to turn youth from job seekers into job creators. To support this, he noted, the government is actively promoting startups and innovation ecosystems. Under Modi’s leadership, India has made strides in areas from agriculture to advanced technology, he added.

The event included participation from key central institutions such as the Department of Posts, Geological Survey of India, Security Printing Press, IIT Hyderabad, University of Hyderabad, CSIR-IICT, FCI, Income Tax, CISF, and SSB. Senior officials from these agencies attended the event, which was held simultaneously at 40 locations across the country.

In a video address, Prime Minister Modi also spoke to the recruits. He encouraged them to serve the nation with commitment, confidence, and pride.
