Hyderabad: Union Minister Kishan Reddy said he had spoken with Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao about urea supply. Telangana requested an additional 50,000 metric tonnes, and the Centre will send the required quota. Reddy added that the Ramagundam fertilizer plant had temporarily stopped production due to technical issues.
Addressing the media, he discussed several other matters. On the Kaleshwaram project, Reddy said the Centre would review the commission report before considering a CBI probe. Regarding the Moinabad farmhouse case, he denied any BJP involvement.
Commenting on party defections, Reddy said switching parties had become routine. However, he insisted that anyone joining the BJP should resign first. He accused both BRS and Congress of encouraging defections.
Centre ready to back Hyderabad Metro Phase 2
Reddy said the Hyderabad Metro was running at a loss, and L&T was unwilling to fund the new line. Even so, he assured that the Centre was ready to support Phase 2 of the project.
Minister seeks voter list cleanup in Telangana
He also demanded an intensive revision of the voter list. Reddy claimed nearly four lakh duplicate votes exist in Hyderabad alone. He alleged widespread double entries and questioned how BJP’s seats fell if the party had manipulated the rolls.
Turning to Bihar, Reddy said the political climate now favoured the BJP. He dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s padyatra and claimed even Congress leaders lacked clarity on its purpose.
