Kishan Reddy questions Sonia Gandhi on Congress guarantees in Telangana

Hyderabad: Union Minister and former Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy wrote an open letter to AICC leader Sonia Gandhi on Saturday, questioning the implementation of Congress’s six guarantees in Telangana.

In the letter, Kishan Reddy asked whether Sonia Gandhi had verified the status of these guarantees with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He also questioned whether she had made any effort to understand the ground reality of their implementation.

Kishan Reddy accused the Congress of deceiving Telangana voters with what he called “fraudulent promises” during the Assembly elections. He said the ruling party had now changed its tone by issuing a “vision document” instead of fulfilling its earlier assurances.

BJP leader G Kishan Reddy warns Congress of political fallout

The BJP leader criticised the Congress for allegedly discarding its 420 pre-election promises, suggesting they had been “washed away in the Musi river.” He further warned that if Congress fails to deliver on its commitments, the people of Telangana will deliver a strong lesson in return.

Kishan Reddy also alleged that the guarantees made under the banner of “Abhayahastam” could turn into a political liability—what he described as a “Bhasmasura hand”—for the Congress if they go unfulfilled.
