Hyderabad: Union Minister Kishan Reddy visited Gandhi Hospital on Monday morning and reviewed the medical services being provided to patients. He inspected the functioning of the oxygen plant set up during the Covid period and enquired about its current operations.
Kishan Reddy also reviewed the treatments being offered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. He directed hospital authorities to ensure better healthcare services for patients and assured that steps would be taken to provide necessary equipment and facilities. He asked the hospital superintendent to ensure there is no staff shortage in delivering medical care.
He questioned staff on the ongoing medical tests under Ayushman Bharat, the sanctioned posts, number of staff appointments, nature of the posts, and the type of cases being recorded frequently. He also asked if all medical tests were being conducted at the hospital itself and collected information from hospital personnel.
During the visit, Kishan Reddy interacted with patients and enquired about the quality of treatment they were receiving. The minister also inspected hospital buildings and their maintenance. He suggested improvements in the hospital’s drainage system and sought related details from officials.
