Hyderabad: Bhongir Congress MP C. Kiran Kumar Reddy called the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar “shocking and unfortunate”, responding a day after Dhankhar stepped down citing medical reasons.
Reddy noted that Dhankhar had presided over the House in a “constructive and balanced” manner even on the opening day of the monsoon session. He said the Vice President treated all members equally and sought to convey a positive message through his conduct.
Praising Dhankhar’s approach, Reddy said he always rose above party lines and worked for national progress without wasting parliamentary time. “He was a leader who consistently spoke up for the country’s future,” he said.
Responding to the stated reason of ill health, Reddy expressed concern and offered well wishes. “If it is indeed due to health issues, we sincerely hope he recovers soon,” he added.
