Hyderabad: KECA Golden Jubilee celebrations were held in Tirupati on Saturday, marking 50 years of service in supporting underprivileged meritorious students through scholarships and skill development programmes.
The Krishnadevaraya Educational & Cultural Association organised the event at the Amara Raja Campus Auditorium in Karakambadi. Several prominent leaders and members attended the programme to commemorate the milestone.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation K. Ram Mohan Naidu addressed the gathering and praised the association’s five-decade journey. He said that when opportunities were given to talented rural youth, they could uplift the nation. He described KECA’s work as a movement for social transformation and said supporting one student meant empowering an entire family.
He also commended Aruna Kumari Galla for her contribution and said the Galla family had consistently set an example in philanthropy. Special guest Galla Jayadev reaffirmed his commitment to educational initiatives and said giving back to society was a shared responsibility.

Founder member Dr. Ramachandra N. Galla reflected on the association’s beginnings. He said the initiative started by supporting a single student and had now grown into a platform benefiting thousands of families. He added that KECA would focus more on personality development and holistic training in the coming years.
The KECA Golden Jubilee event also honoured distinguished alumni and presented scholarships to deserving students. Organisers felicitated founders and donors in recognition of their contribution to the association’s growth.
Among those present were Maganti Murali Mohan, Gurajala Jagan Mohan, Aruna Kumari Galla, Dr. Ramadevi Gourineni and other office bearers including Vice President Umakanth, Treasurer Rallapalli Satish and Joint Secretary Balaji Kiran.
