Hyderabad: Former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao is stable and under close observation at Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda after being admitted on Thursday with general weakness. Doctors found elevated blood sugar and low sodium levels on preliminary evaluation, while other vital parameters remained normal, according to a health bulletin released by the hospital.
Medications have been started to control diabetes and correct sodium deficiency, senior consultant physician Dr MV Rao confirmed. KCR is under round-the-clock monitoring, the hospital stated.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi chief was admitted on Thursday evening after complaining of fatigue and weakness.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy spoke with doctors and hospital officials to check on KCR’s condition. He directed that the former CM receive the best possible medical care and expressed wishes for his full and swift recovery.
