Hyderabad: A man from Kalwakurthy of Nagarkurnool district killed his father in a fit of rage over a property dispute and dumped the body in a nala, police added.
The attack occurred at Vasavi Nagar, wherein 70-year-old Balayya was beaten by his son Beerayya. The accused allegedly thrashed his father with a stick as he was tilling his agricultural lands, and he died immediately.

Police said Beerayya kept the body of his father in the boot of his car and drove to the bridge at Chintapalli. There, he pushed the body into the stream below.
When Balayya didn’t return home by evening, his family grew anxious and reported him missing to the police. A search was launched, but his location remained unknown until bloodstains were spotted at the crime scene.

The police crosschecked nearby CCTV footage, which suggested Beerayya’s participation. Beerayya was taken into custody, and upon interrogation, he admitted to having killed his father.
As per his confession, divers recovered the body of Balayya from the stream at Dindi Chintapalli bridge. Police filed a case and carried out further investigation.
