K Kavitha alleges lecturer job scam, demands GO cancellations

Hyderabad: The K Kavitha lecturer job scam allegations surfaced on April 1, as K. Kavitha accused the government of manipulating lecturer recruitment through controversial Government Orders.

Speaking at the Telangana Jagruthi office in Banjara Hills, she said the government had created obstacles for unemployed youth by issuing GOs that blocked fair access to jobs. She alleged that GO No. 4 was designed to favour select candidates in degree lecturer appointments.

She also criticised the decision to grant 25 marks weightage to PhD holders. She said the move formed part of a larger plan to influence recruitment outcomes. Moreover, she questioned how such weightage was justified when PhD admissions remained limited.

K Kavitha lecturer job scam claims mirror Group-1 pattern

Kavitha alleged that the recruitment process followed a pattern similar to the earlier Group-1 examination controversy. She claimed that authorities had arranged special examination centres in that process to benefit certain individuals.

She said similar methods were now being used in lecturer recruitment. Therefore, she demanded the immediate cancellation of GO No. 4.

In addition, she called for scrapping multiple Government Orders. These included GO No. 104 linked to DSC recruitment, GO No. 29 related to Group exams, GO No. 46 concerning police recruitment, and GO No. 81 tied to Gurukul institutions. She said these policies created barriers for job aspirants.

K Kavitha lecturer job scam criticism targets govt priorities

Kavitha criticised both previous and current governments for failing to review these GOs. She said nearly 40 lakh families had students preparing for competitive exams, yet authorities ignored their concerns.

She questioned why the government allocated ₹7,000 crore for the Musi River projects but failed to review employment policies. Furthermore, she accused the Congress party of using Telangana youth for political gains.

She demanded clarity on the job calendar and the filling of 2 lakh government jobs. She also warned that if the government failed to respond, Telangana Jagruthi would mobilise unemployed youth for protests across the state.

K Kavitha lecturer job scam remarks extend to welfare concerns

Kavitha said the government claimed to have issued 5 lakh ration cards but planned to cancel 15 lakh cards during verification. She alleged that authorities removed cards on grounds such as filing income tax returns or holding private jobs.

She termed these actions unjust and urged the government to stop what she described as harsh measures against the poor.

She also expressed concern over an incident at Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple, where temporary sheds collapsed and injured 15 people. She demanded proper medical care for the injured.

Finally, she called for a detailed investigation into the incident and strict action against those responsible.
