HYDERABAD: In a landmark judgment, Telangana High Court Justice Nagesh Bhimapaka imposed a ₹1 crore penalty on a petitioner for misleading the court and attempting to manipulate the judicial process. The ruling came after the court found that the petitioner had concealed a pending case and approached another bench for a ruling on the same issue.
Justice Nagesh expressed strong disapproval over such tactics, stating that misleading the court is a serious offense that hampers the judiciary’s integrity. The petitioner, who attempted to secure an order from a different bench while a related petition was already under consideration, faced severe repercussions.
The High Court also took a strong stance against illegal encroachments on government land, reinforcing its commitment to protecting public properties from unauthorized occupation. Justice Nagesh made it clear that such deceptive legal tactics will not be tolerated and that strict action will be taken against those attempting to manipulate judicial proceedings.
The court’s decision serves as a stern warning against individuals attempting to misuse legal loopholes to encroach on government lands or manipulate court verdicts.
