Jupally Krishna Rao denies charges, says he won’t yield to blackmail politics

Hyderabad: Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Wednesday rejected all allegations against him, asserting that he would never bow to blackmail politics. Speaking during a casual media interaction, he said he saw no need to respond to false or politically driven accusations.

The Minister addressed the controversy involving his nephew Satish Rao Kanaparthi and dismissed the claims as baseless. “These are conspiracy-driven lies. Everyone makes mistakes, but they can always correct them,” Jupally said firmly.

Minister distances himself from nephew’s business

He clarified that his nephew’s actions had nothing to do with him. “I have no role in his business or activities,” he said. “Some people are using this issue to damage my reputation, but I won’t let them succeed.”

Reports claimed that Satish Rao, who lives in the United States, started several organic chain stores in Hyderabad after returning to India. He allegedly convinced older people to invest their savings and collected huge amounts under the promise of monthly returns. Later, he diverted the funds and went back abroad, according to complainants.

Jupally reiterated that such stories were politically motivated. He said he remained focused on his public responsibilities rather than false allegations.

Jupally expects a rise in liquor tenders

Separately, Jupally noted that liquor tenders usually rise sharply in the final days of bidding. He said the last three days brought a major surge in participation. “In the previous round, nearly 96,000 tenders arrived in the final three days,” he explained.
