Hyderabad: In a breakthrough against street crime, the Jubilee Hills police have apprehended two notorious mobile snatchers and their receiver, busting a network responsible for at least six mobile snatching cases across Jubilee Hills, Sanathnagar, and Madhapur areas.
The arrested offenders, identified as Boya Sai Kumar (19), a flower vendor, and Alakunta Eshwar (21), a delivery boy for Blinkit both residents of Borabanda were found to have snatched phones across multiple localities. Acting on leads, police also arrested Dudekula Feroz alias Mohd. Feroz (29), owner of Madina Mobiles in Borabanda, who knowingly purchased five of the stolen phones.
According to investigators, A1 (Sai Kumar) and A2 (Eshwar) confessed to their involvement in the following cases:

Cr. No. 304/2025 under sections 304(2) r/w 3(5) BNS of Sanathnagar PS, Cyberabad
Cr. No. 399/2025 under sections 304(2) r/w 3(5) & 317(4) BNS & 106 BNSS of Jubilee Hills PS, Hyderabad
Meanwhile, A3 (Feroz) confessed to receiving the stolen phones in Cr. No. 399/2025 of Jubilee Hills PS and Cr. No. 304/2025 of Sanathnagar PS.
Police recovered six smartphones including a VIVO Y30 (black), Realme C21, and VIVO Y20 (blue) with unique IMEI numbers matching stolen devices, along with a Honda Activa motorcycle allegedly used in the crimes.
The case is being spearheaded by Addl. Inspector R. Madhusudhan of Jubilee Hills PS and his crime team, under the guidance of SHO K. Venkateshwara Reddy and the close supervision of the ACP, Jubilee Hills Division, West Zone.
