EC to issue Jubilee Hills bypoll notification on Monday

Hyderabad: The Election Commission of India will release the Jubilee Hills bypoll notification on Monday, officially setting the process in motion. Authorities will accept nominations from October 14 to 21 at the returning office set up in the Shaikpet MRO office.

Officials said they have completed all arrangements for nomination intake. The scrutiny of nominations will be held on October 22. Candidates will have until October 24 to withdraw their nominations. Voting is scheduled for November 11, while counting will take place on November 14 at the Yousufguda Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy Stadium. The results will be declared the same day.

District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan has already published the final voter list for the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency. The total number of registered voters stands at 3,98,982, including 2,07,367 men, 1,91,590 women, and 25 others.

The constituency also includes 3,280 male and 2,772 female voters aged 80 and above. Additionally, there are 95 NRI voters, 18 service electors, and 1,891 PWD voters. The constituency has 407 polling stations, with each station expected to accommodate around 980 voters.

With all major parties viewing this by-election as high-stakes, political activity has intensified. Each party is preparing its strategy to capture the seat, making the contest a prestige battle.
