Hyderabad: Congress nominee Naveen Yadav projected a decisive edge in the Jubilee Hills bypoll after performing special prayers with his family at the Balkampet Ellamma temple on Tuesday morning. He stated that the first round would, therefore, give him a firm lead. Moreover, he noted that public support strengthened his confidence. Consequently, he predicted a 45-vote majority for Congress.
Counting order set for Jubilee Hills bypoll
Officials released updated constituency figures for the Jubilee Hills bypoll, placing the total voter count at 4,01,365. In addition, they reported that 1,94,631 people cast their ballots. As a result, turnout stood at 48.49 per cent. Polling took place across 407 booths, and teams prepared seven divisions for counting.
The Shaikpet division will be counted first. After that, the remaining six divisions will move in sequence. Furthermore, officials said the method ensures a clean verification trail. Returning officers also reviewed all materials before sealing movement records, and they confirmed that all steps followed standard procedure.
Observers noted that the Jubilee Hills bypoll attracted strong political attention due to earlier tight contests. Additionally, booth-level mobilisation remained high across parties. Consequently, turnout often shapes the early trend in this constituency.
