Jeevan Reddy Congress exit follows 20 months humiliation

Hyderabad: Former minister T. Jeevan Reddy said his decision on the Jeevan Reddy Congress exit followed nearly 20 months of humiliation within the party.

He made the remarks on Thursday in Jagtial while addressing the media alongside K. T. Rama Rao and other BRS leaders. He also expressed gratitude to KTR for visiting his residence and inviting him to join the Bharat Rashtra Samithi on behalf of K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Jeevan Reddy described his resignation from the Congress as an emotional decision. However, he said he felt satisfied with the move to join BRS and continue his political work under KCR’s leadership.

He stated that he had endured humiliation within the party for the past 20 months. Despite that, he said he remained patient before taking a final call. He added that his decision reflected both personal experience and feedback from the public.

Referring to governance, Jeevan Reddy said he had witnessed several governments over the years. In comparison, he stated that the current administration appeared to be moving in a regressive direction.

He reiterated that the Jeevan Reddy Congress exit was based on careful consideration rather than impulse. He said joining BRS would allow him to contribute more effectively in public life under experienced leadership.
