Hyderabad: BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao will meet former minister T. Jeevan Reddy on Thursday, fuelling speculation over his possible entry into the BRS after his exit from the Congress.
He will begin the day with a review meeting of party leaders and elected representatives from the erstwhile Karimnagar district at the R&B Guest House around noon.
Political activity rises around Jeevan Reddy BRS move
After the Karimnagar review meeting, he will travel to Jagtial. He will meet Jeevan Reddy at his residence at around 2.30 pm. During this interaction, he is expected to extend a formal invitation to join the party.
Senior BRS leaders and elected representatives will accompany him. Meanwhile, sources said KTR spoke to Jeevan Reddy over the phone on Wednesday after discussions with K. Chandrashekar Rao.
The move aims to strengthen the party’s presence in the region by inducting senior leaders. Jeevan Reddy recently resigned from the Congress citing differences with the leadership.
Party insiders said discussions on his entry have progressed. He will likely join the party on April 13 in the presence of KCR.
