Hyderabad: Police arrested a 25-year-old man in the Jeedimetla murder case after he allegedly killed his sister-in-law by attacking her with a hammer in the Jeedimetla police station limits, officials said.
According to investigators, the accused, identified as Pawan Kumar from Anantapur district, was taken into custody soon after the incident. Police said they were questioning him to establish the sequence of events and the circumstances that led to the killing. The arrest brought temporary relief to residents who reported panic in the neighbourhood following the crime.
Initial findings suggested that the attack occurred inside a residential premises. Police secured the scene and informed senior officers. Meanwhile, forensic teams examined physical evidence as part of the investigation. Officers said further details would emerge after sustained interrogation.
