Hyderabad: Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukender Reddy made a Jamili elections prediction, saying the next elections may take place simultaneously and political conditions could change after constituency delimitation.
He said leaders who earlier claimed they would return to power had now fallen silent.
Speaking to the media during an informal interaction, he said several developments could reshape the political landscape.
He said the upcoming elections were likely to be Jamili elections prediction with major structural changes in the electoral system.
According to him, constituency delimitation could take place before the next polls. He also said women’s reservations might come into effect.
He noted that these changes could alter political equations and reservation patterns across constituencies.
Sukender Reddy said he could not decide at this stage where his son might contest in the next elections.
He said the decision would depend on the political situation after delimitation and other reforms.
“If my son gets a ticket, he will contest. After entering politics, why would someone avoid contesting elections?” he said.
He also clarified that he intended to stay away from direct electoral contests.
Jamili elections prediction and possible political changes
Sukender Reddy said several political changes might occur once constituency boundaries were redrawn.
He said reservation patterns could also change after delimitation and the introduction of women’s reservations.
According to him, these developments could significantly influence future electoral strategies.
Therefore, he said leaders would take decisions about contesting seats only after the final structure of constituencies became clear under the Jamili elections prediction scenario.
LBC project may complete in two years
Sukender Reddy also spoke about the progress of the Left Bank Canal (LBC) works.
He said the project continued under the earlier execution method. Currently, around 20 metres of work progressed each day.
He estimated that the project might take about two years to complete.
He said construction work continued from the outlet side. Teams also carried out blasting operations along the canal route.
According to him, the Elimnineti Madhava Reddy Lift Irrigation Project, the gravity canal LBC and AMRP could provide irrigation to nearly three lakh acres once completed.
