HYDERABAD: A significant accident was narrowly avoided near Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s residence in Jubilee Hills. Late last night, support iron rods erected for elevation work at an under-construction electronic showroom near the Madapur Metro station suddenly collapsed. The incident occurred in close proximity to the CM’s residence. Prior to the collapse, approximately 30 workers were engaged in construction activities; however, due to heavy rain, they had moved inside, averting potential injuries. The fallen iron rods spilled onto the roadside. Locals noted that a bus stand previously existed at this location but was recently removed by authorities. Upon learning of the incident, personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) promptly cleared the debris. Residents remarked that, given the area’s usual heavy foot traffic, the timing of the collapse prevented a more severe disaster.
