Telangana Housing Corporation Managing Director VP Gautam said the amount was directly credited into beneficiaries’ bank accounts based on Aadhaar authentication. He stated that the payments were part of the ongoing effort to ensure uninterrupted fund flow for eligible beneficiaries.

According to officials, among the payments released this week, 2,763 beneficiaries had completed construction up to the basement level. Meanwhile, 20,186 beneficiaries had crossed the stage of wall and slab construction. The MD said the corporation was ensuring that bills were cleared without delay at every stage of construction.

Indiramma housing scheme targets one lakh houses by March

The Housing Corporation MD said the government aimed to complete one lakh houses under the Indiramma housing scheme by March this year. Moreover, the government was preparing to roll out the next phase thereafter. Construction activity was progressing at a rapid pace across the state, he added.

Officials said that bills were being released strictly as per guidelines after thorough verification, both online and through field-level inspections. This was done to ensure transparency. Across Telangana, construction work had begun on about 2.50 lakh houses so far.

Of these, around 1.25 lakh houses were expected to have completed wall and slab works soon. In addition, another 75,000 houses had already crossed the basement stage. District collectors were conducting frequent field inspections and holding regular reviews to closely monitor the progress of house construction, the MD said.
