Hyderabad: A restaurant operating without authorisation in Jubilee Hills was sealed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Town Planning wing on Saturday, following a directive from the High Court.
The establishment, located at Plot No. 1014C, Road No. 51 in Jubilee Hills Cooperative Society, was closed down by the Town Planning Department. Police were deployed to prevent any disturbance during the sealing process.
According to a public notice from the Deputy Commissioner, the action followed a High Court order issued on March 4, 2025. The premises had received multiple complaints in the past, and notices were served in 2019.
Subsequent inspections conducted on March 13 and April 16, 2025, confirmed that the property was being used for commercial purposes in a residential zone without proper permissions. Authorities stated that this constituted a serious legal violation.
The Deputy Commissioner confirmed that the sealing was carried out due to non-compliance with statutory norms.
