Illegal Constructions Razed at Manikonda’s Tirumala Hills Park by Hyderabad HYDRAA Task Force

Hyderabad: HYDRAA, Hyderabad’s civic enforcement task force, launched another round of action against illegal constructions on Wednesday, targeting unauthorised structures at Tirumala Hills Colony in Manikonda. Following orders from HYDRA Chief Ranganath, municipal officials demolished encroachments built on land designated as park space.

Acting on confirmed reports of encroachment, the Manikonda Municipality, under the supervision of town planning officer Santosh Singh, moved in with JCBs to raze the illegal buildings. The demolition drive was carried out with support from Narsingi police to ensure there was no disruption from builders or residents.

Tensions flared as local residents confronted the officials, claiming the area falls within their colony limits and that they had secured HMDA permissions for the structures. They also objected to the demolitions being conducted without prior notice.

Officials maintained that the site was earmarked as public park land and the constructions were unauthorised. “This is part of Tirumala Hills Park and hence, the demolitions were carried out,” Santosh Singh stated.
