HYDERABAD: A major traffic jam was reported on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway on Wednesday, following a two-car collision that caused vehicles to pile up for several kilometres.
The incident occurred when a car travelling from Hyderabad lost control and hit the central divider. The impact caused the vehicle to swerve into the opposite lane and collide with another car heading toward Vijayawada.
The crash led to a severe traffic backlog, with vehicles stranded from Pedda Amberpet all the way to Abdullapurmet.
No serious injuries were immediately reported, but the incident disrupted traffic flow during peak hours. Authorities are working to clear the vehicles and restore normal traffic movement.
