Hyderabad Task Force nabs three vehicle theft suspects, recovers stolen bikes

Hyderabad: The West Zone Task Force of Hyderabad Police arrested three vehicle theft suspects involved in a series of bike thefts and shutter-lifting burglaries in the Rachakonda Commissionerate. The team recovered four stolen bikes and clothes used during the crimes.

The accused include Sardar Jagjoth Singh alias Sahil (24), a known rowdy-sheeter from BK Guda, Hyderabad; Ajmera Murali Kumar (19) of Sanath Nagar; and Sirsuval Tilak (19) from Balkampet, SR Nagar. Police stated that Singh’s rowdy sheet was opened at SR Nagar Police Station in May 2024.

Trio stole bikes, looted shops to support lifestyle

According to investigators, the three accused developed a friendship and soon became addicted to alcohol and smoking. To fund their lifestyle, they began targeting parked two-wheelers and breaking into commercial shops by lifting shutters.

On January 6, 2026, the Task Force team intercepted the suspects at Balanagar X Road based on credible intelligence. During the operation, officers recovered the following items:

  1. Royal Enfield Bullet (TS08EX7316)
  2. Honda Dio (TS08FF7489)
  3. Hero Passion Pro (TS08EX4263)
  4. TVS N-Torq (used for committing thefts)
  5. Stolen clothing

Police linked these recoveries to at least five criminal cases registered between 2025 and 2026 under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). These include cases filed at Nacharam, Kushaiguda, Keesara, Alwal, and Jawahar Nagar police stations.

Inspector Ch. Yadender and SIP D. Ravi Raj of the West Zone Task Force led the arrests under the supervision of senior officers.
