Hyderabad police issue traffic advisory for Nampally exhibition

Hyderabad: Hyderabad police issued a traffic advisory to manage congestion during the 85th All India Industrial Exhibition at Nampally.

City Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar, IPS, said traffic restrictions will remain in force from January 1 to February 15, 2026. The restrictions will apply daily from 4 pm to midnight.

Police issued the advisory under Section 21(1)(b) of the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 Fasli. As a result, police aim to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.

RTC district buses, private buses, and heavy vehicles coming from Sultan Bazaar and Jambagh will divert at MJ Market towards Abids Junction. Similarly, vehicles coming from the Police Control Room and Basheerbagh will turn at the AR Petrol Pump and the BJR Statue towards Abids.

Traffic advisory details diversions and commuter guidelines

Heavy and medium vehicles coming from Begum Bazar Chatri towards Malakunta will divert at Alaska Junction towards Darusalam and Ek Minar. Likewise, vehicles, including DCMs, coming from Darusalam on Goshamahal Road will turn towards Begum Bazar, City College, and Nayapool.

Heavy and medium vehicles, including RTC buses, coming from Moosa Bowli and Bahadurpura will divert at City College towards Nayapool and MJ Market.

Meanwhile, police asked commuters to avoid the MJ Market–Gandhi Bhavan–Nampally Junction stretch. This restriction will apply daily between 4 pm and midnight until February 15.

Police also urged exhibition visitors to use RTC buses and Metro Rail services. Metro trains will run till 11.30 pm on weekdays and till midnight on weekends and public holidays.

Further, police advised pedestrians not to cross roads near the exhibition grounds. Instead, visitors should use the Gandhi Bhavan Metro Bridge and the metro lift or elevator. Finally, Hyderabad City Police requested citizens to cooperate with traffic personnel on duty.
