Hyderabad: Police held a coordination meeting on Friday at Sana Garden under Charminar Police Station limits to plan Milad-un-Nabi events in the South Zone. Officials from GHMC, electrical, and R&B departments joined the meeting along with 100-150 event organisers and volunteers.
Additional DCP South Zone, assistant commissioners, and SHOs attended the session. The gathering focused on ensuring peaceful conduct of events, smooth management of processions, and timely conclusion of all programs.
Police stress peaceful Milad-un-Nabi events without DJs or firecrackers
DCP South Zone Sneha Mehra announced that authorities had identified 100 organizers for the festival. These included 50–60 for food distribution, 12 for Jalsa programs, and 38 for religious processions. Among the procession organizers, 21 belonged to the South Zone while 17 came from other areas.
Police prohibited the use of DJ systems and firecrackers during processions to prevent disturbances. Officers urged all organizers to complete events on time and avoid inconvenience to other communities.
