Hyderabad: The Hyderabad International Short Film Festival advanced its promotional activities on Thursday with a curtain-raiser event at the Tourism Plaza. Tourism MD Valluru Kranthi and Film Development Corporation MD Priyanka jointly unveiled the programme after arriving at the venue. They then released balloons over the Tourism Bhavan, and a short promo followed with clips from more than 700 submitted films.

She further emphasised the festival’s value for young artists seeking entry into the industry. Consequently, she said the event continued to strengthen Hyderabad’s profile on the international film stage.
