Hyderabad and Guntakal divisions share top honour at SCR’s 70th Railway Week

Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) marked its 70th Railway Week on Thursday with a ceremonial event at Rail Kalarang, New Bhoiguda. At the event, General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava presented top honours to divisions, departments, and staff.

The Hyderabad and Guntakal divisions were jointly awarded the GM’s Overall Best Performance Efficiency Shield. A total of 35 Zonal Efficiency Shields and 86 Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar awards were distributed during the occasion.

SCR 70th Railway Week highlights efficiency, innovation

In his address, Srivastava underlined the importance of workforce strength, technology-based reforms, safety, and skill development. He urged all departments to implement systemic improvements across customer service, operations, and maintenance within set timelines.

Multiple divisions, including Secunderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Nanded, and Guntakal, were recognised across categories such as finance, engineering, innovation, safety, cleanliness, and operations.

Senior officials including Additional General Manager Satya Prakash, AGM Ashish Mehrotra, and Deputy GM Udaynath Kotla attended the event. Additionally, the event featured cultural performances by railway staff.
