Hyderabad: BRS MLA KP Vivekananda on Wednesday criticised Hyderabad development under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and alleged failure in governance and municipal administration.
Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, he claimed that the Chief Minister had not understood public needs even after two years in office. He accused the Congress government of neglecting Hyderabad development and failing to sustain infrastructure momentum.
MLA questions Hyderabad development projects and Metro expansion
Vivekananda alleged that the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion had not progressed. He also criticised the government for discontinuing projects that were approved during the tenure of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. According to him, several infrastructure proposals had stalled without clarity.
He mocked initiatives such as HYDRAA and described them as publicity-driven exercises. Instead, he argued that the government should prioritise infrastructure and civic management. He alleged that the administration focused more on announcements than on execution.
The MLA further questioned the status of the Musi River beautification project. He alleged that proposed GHMC expansion plans lacked scientific basis. In contrast, he claimed that earlier administrations had completed link roads, bridges and underpasses. The current government, he said, had delivered only slogans in the name of Hyderabad development.
