Telangana districts face cold wave; rains ahead
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave alert for northern and western Telangana. Minimum temperatures are likely to fall to single digits across several districts, including Hyderabad.
Officials advised residents to avoid going outdoors late at night unless necessary. Cold conditions are expected to continue across north and central Telangana until November 30. Temperatures will hover between 9°C and 11°C.
Rain forecast for southern Telangana from Dec 2
In addition to the cold spell, IMD has also predicted moderate rainfall in parts of southern Telangana due to cyclone-related atmospheric activity. Between December 2 and 5, districts like Mahabubabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Wanaparthy, and Mahabubnagar may receive intermittent showers.
